We do two things. First, we help you work out when switching a SaaS or AI tool actually pays back — not just the subscription line item, but implementation, internal migration hours, annual price rises, and the months you keep paying a contract you've already left. Second, we publish business and regulatory postmortems of AI products that rose fast and then changed or collapsed, so you can see what went wrong for other people before you commit.

Editorial policy

Every article cites its sources. We write about products and regulation from a business and compliance angle — we don't do experience reviews, emotional framing, or reproduce conversation content from the apps we analyze. We don't accept affiliate arrangements from AI companion products, so our coverage of that category carries no commercial relationship of any kind.

Calculator results are generated from the numbers you enter and are for reference only. They are not procurement, financial, or legal advice.

How we research

Articles are built from primary sources where they exist — legislative text, court filings, company statements — and from established reporting where they don't. Figures for private companies are usually estimates, and we say so rather than presenting them as settled fact. Every article carries a sources note listing what it was built from.

Corrections and updates

Valuations, user counts, and regulatory status change fast. We review published articles when a covered situation materially changes, and each article shows when it was last updated.
